Kogi PDP chieftain Abdullahi Yusuf resigns from party

A prominent Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain in Kogi State, Mallam Abdullahi Yusuf, has resigned from the party.

Announcing his resignation in Lokoja via a letter he personally signed and addressed to the party chairman on Friday, Yusuf thanked the PDP for the opportunities he had to serve.

The letter reads in part, “After careful consideration, I decided that it is the best interest of personal and professional goals to step down from the party.

“Please accept this letter as the formal notice of my Resignation from The People’s Democratic Party(PDP) Kogi state from this day 29-012025.

“I appreciate the opportunities I have had while serving as a member of PDP. However after careful consideration, I have decided that it is the best interest of my personal and professional goals to step down from the party.

“I thank you for your understanding and I wish the party continued success in its future endeavors.”

Yusuf, however, has officially announced his defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kogi State.
