Nigeria midfielder Kelechi Nwakali has been named Barnsley’s Player of the Month for January, Media Talk Africa reports.
The League One club made the announcement on their X account on Friday.
“Congratulations to Kelechi Nwakali for being named @CopierSystems January Player of the Month,” the club wrote on X.
The 26-year-old made three league appearances for the Reds during the month.
Media Talk Africa recalls that Nwakali won Barnsley’s Goal of the Month for December.
He has scored once in 13 league appearances for Darrell Clarke’s side this season.
