NPFL: Victory over Enyimba big boost for Akwa United – Alaekwe

Akwa United forward Chijioke Alaekwe believes that their rescheduled Matchday 20 win over Enyimba will be a turning point for their campaign.

Alaekwe stated that the win over Enyimba meant a lot to the team.

“That was our sweetest win of the campaign, especially in this second stanza,” Alaekwe told Complete Sports.

“Since the start of the second stanza, we hadn’t won any match. This victory against Enyimba means so much to us, considering our position on the league table.

“I’d also say it’s a turning point for us because it has given us confidence, which will motivate us moving forward.”

The Promise Keepers will be away to Sunshine Stars in Ikenne this weekend.
