NPFL: Enyimba pip Rivers United 1-0 to end winless run

Enyimba returned to winning ways in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Rivers United in Aba on Saturday.

The game was headlined by the two coaches, who have managed the two teams in the past.

Enyimba head coach, Stanley Eguma was in charge of Rivers United for several years, before he was sacked last season.

Finidi George managed Enyimba for around two years before leaving the post.

The former international took charge of Rivers United at the start of the season.

Imo Obot scored the decisive goal four minutes before the break.

It was the People’s Elephant first win in three league outings.
