Wike to celebrate Tinubu’s second anniversary with projects inauguration in FCT

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, has disclosed plans to celebrate President Tinubu’s second year in office with project inaugurations.

The minister made this known on Saturday night after inspecting the ongoing construction of a 30.4-kilometre road from Abuja-Lokoja Expressway to Gomani in Kwali Area Council of the FCT.

Speaking in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, Wike stated that he would make public the details of the projects for inauguration in due course.

“That is why I insisted that we will only give out jobs to contractors who show capacity and not based on sentiment.

“I am happy that the communities are happy. You can see how they came out in numbers to celebrate the progress of work so far,” Wike stated.

Media Talk Africa reports that President Bola Tinubu, who assumed office on May 29, 2023, will be celebrating his second-year anniversary on May 29, 2025
