Ancelotti reveals what Bellingham said to referee before red card in Osasuna draw

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has revealed what Jude Bellingham said to referee Munuera Montero before he was controversially sent off against Osasuna.

Kylian Mbappe gave Los Blancos an early lead in the LaLiga fixture on Saturday.

But Ancelotti’s men then saw three strong penalty claims waved away by Montero.

Frustrated by Montero’s officiating, Bellingham appeared to voice his frustration to the referee as they prepared to take a goal kick in the 39th minute.

His comments led to him being shown a straight red card for dissent.

Speaking after the game at El Sadar, Ancelotti said: “I think the referee did not understand Jude Bellingham’s English.

“He said f*** off, not f*** you… that’s way different.

“I won’t talk more about the referee as I want to be on the bench next week.”

Bellingham also insisted that it was a misunderstanding.

He said: “I didn’t say anything bad to the referee. It’s clear that there was a communication error.

“It’s an expression like the Spanish one “j***r”… and the consequence is that he left us with one less player.

“It’s not an insult, it was an expression for myself.”
