El-Rufa’i pay condolence visit to late Edwin clark’s family

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, alongside former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, visited the family of the late Chief Edwin Clark to offer condolences following his passing on February 17, 2025, at the age of 97.

The visit was a tribute to Clark, a revered statesman and Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) leader, known for his unwavering advocacy for unity and development in the Niger Delta and beyond.

Sharing a video of the visit on his X handle on Friday, February 21, Atiku wrote:

“Today, I led a delegation that included former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, on a condolence visit to the family of foremost statesman and nationalist, Chief Edwin Clark. I prayed for comfort for his family and acknowledged his lifelong dedication to a united Nigeria.”

Atiku emphasized that Clark’s passing was not only a loss to his family and PANDEF but to the entire nation.

He urged leaders to honor his legacy by promoting unity and inclusiveness—values for which Clark lived and fought.

“The best way to immortalize him is for our leaders to foster the unity and inclusiveness he stood for. May his soul rest in peace,” he added.
