NPFL: Enyimba suffer Ihemekwele’s injury blow

Enyimba forward, Ifeanyi Ihemekwele faces an extended period on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

Ihemekwele picked up the injury in the People’s Elephant Abia State President Federation Cup final defeat to Ahudiyannem FC on Sunday.

Ihemekwele has scored four goals and registered one assist in 25 league appearances for the Aba giants this season.

He is expected to return to action before the end of the season.

Enyimba will tackle Shooting Stars in a matchday 26 fixture in Aba on Wednesday.

The nine-time league champions sit in 11th position with 34 points.
