Ex- Eagles midfielder, Mba advises Lookman to join Chelsea

Former Nigeria international Sunday Mba has urged Ademola Lookman to consider a move to Premier League giants Chelsea this summer.

Lookman is widely expected to leave Serie A club Atalanta at the end of the season.

However, his destination remains unknown, with several European heavyweights reportedly interested in his services.

Mba believes Stamford Bridge would be an ideal home for the former Leicester City player.

“If I were a sporting director or manager at Chelsea, I would push for Lookman. I think it would be a win-win situation for both parties, given the nature of the player,” Mba, a member of Nigeria’s 2013 Africa Cup of Nations-winning squad, told Africafoot.

“Chelsea should be Lookman’s next home because the style of play suits what Enzo Maresca looks for in his strikers. He’s fast, technically gifted, can dribble, create chances, and score a lot of goals. With all due respect, most Chelsea strikers struggle to bring out two of those qualities.”

Media Talk Africa recalls that the 27-year-old was close to moving to Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain last summer, but the move fell through.

Lookman has scored 12 goals and provided five assists in 20 league appearances for Atalanta this season.
