WAFCON 2026 qualifier: Super Falcons, Benin Republic clash in final round

Benin Republic will face Nigeria’s Super Falcons in the final round of the qualifiers for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The Amazons edged past Sierra Leone 5-2 on aggregate in the first round to book a date with the Super Falcons.

Benin won the first leg 2-1 at home and then defeated their opponent 3-1 away in the reverse fixture.

Both legs of the qualifiers will take place from October 20 to 28, 2025.

Benin will host the first leg, while the second will be held in Nigeria.

The overall winners will earn a berth at WAFCON 2026.

The Super Falcons are the most successful side in the history of the competition, with nine titles.
