Again, Pope Francis remains in critical condition – Vatican gives update

The Vatican has again announced that Pope Francis remains in a critical but somewhat stable condition.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Vatican provided an update on the Pope’s health, confirming that a CT scan had been conducted that day.

“The Holy Father’s condition remains critical but stable. No acute respiratory episodes have occurred, and his haemodynamic parameters continue to be stable,” the statement read.

Earlier reports suggested that the Pope, who has been hospitalised with pneumonia in both lungs, was showing a “slight improvement.”

The condition of the 88-year-old Pontiff has been a major concern globally, particularly among Catholics.

His current health battle began when he was rushed to Rome’s Gemelli Hospital on 14 February with breathing difficulties.
