Arne Slot banned for Liverpool’s games against Newcastle, Southampton

The Football Association, FA, has hit Liverpool manager Arne Slot with a two-game ban.

This follows his red card against Everton earlier this month.

Slot was sent off for approaching referee Michael Oliver on the pitch after the 2-2 draw at Goodison Park.

This ban means the Dutchman will miss Wednesday’s home game with Newcastle and the visit of Southampton on March 8.

However, Slot will be on the touchline when the Reds take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last-16 first-leg tie on March 5.

Assistant coach Sipke Hulshoff has also been banned for two games.

Liverpool and Everton have been fined £65,000 and £50,000 respectively for failing to control their players.
