Didier Drogba has jumped to the defence of his former coach, Jose Mourinho, following racism allegation labelled against him by Galatasaray.
Galatasaray accused the Fenerbahce manager of making “racist statements” following a 0-0 draw between the bitter Istanbul rivals on Monday.
It was not immediately clear what comments Galatasaray were referring to and former Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea and Spurs coach Mourinho has not responded publicly to the allegation.

Speaking after Monday’s league draw at Galatasaray, the Portuguese coach said the home bench had been “jumping like monkeys”.
But in a post on his X handle on Wednesday, Drogba said that Mourinho who he spent years with at Chelsea is far from being a racist.
Drogba who played for Galatasaray between 2013 and 2014, appealed to his former club to rather focus on winning the Turkish league again.
“Dear @GalatasaraySK, you know how proud I was to wear the yellow and red jersey and my love for the most decorated club in Turkey!! We all know how passionate and heated rivalries can be, and I’ve been lucky enough to experience it.
“I’ve seen the recent comments about Jose Mourinho. Trust me when I tell you I have known Jose for 25 years and he is not a racist and history (past and recent) is there to prove it. Let’s focus on our games, support our brilliant lions and let’s win the league to get close to our 5-star. How can my “Dad” be a racist? Come on guys,” the Ivorian wrote.
