Paul Scholes names top five Manchester United players of all time

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has named the club’s top five players of all time.

Scholes spent a 20-year spell at Man United and lifted 11 Premier League titles.

The Englishman also won five domestic cups and two Champions League titles during his time at Old Trafford.

The former midfielder is, in fact, one of the most decorated footballers in history.

When asked to name his Manchester United top five players in a TikTok interview with MailSport, Scholes admitted it was ‘difficult.’

The retired footballer then named Eric Cantona at number five.

He said: “I’m going to give you my top-five Manchester United players of all time. It’s difficult.

“Number five, Eric Cantona. I only played with him for a year or two, but he made a massive impact on the club.”

At number four, Scholes picked Manchester United’s longest-serving captain, Bryan Robson.

“‘Captain Marvel’ made over 400 appearances for the Red Devils, and in August 2011, he was voted by the club’s former players as the greatest ever United player,” he added.

At third, Scholes named Roy Keane before placing Wayne Rooney in second position and Ryan Giggs as his number one.

“Number one, I will go for Ryan Giggs. What he did for this club from the age of 17 to 40 was outstanding,” he further stated.
