Fuel price drop: Nigerians to buy Dangote petrol at N860 per litre

Dangote Refinery has announced that Nigerians can now buy its premium motor spirit at MRS filling stations between N860 and N880 per litre depending on their location nationwide.

The 650,000 barrels per day refinery disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.

This comes as Media Talk Africa reports that the $20 billion refinery reduced its ex-depot petrol price by N65 to N825 per litre from N890 effective from Thursday, 27th February 2025.

The company said that Nigerians can also buy its petrol at AP (Ardova Petroleum) and Heyden retail outlets between N865 to N895 per litre in Lagos, South-West, North, South-South, and South-East.

“Nigerians will be able to purchase the high-quality Dangote petrol at the following prices in all our partners’ retail outlets.

“For MRS Holdings stations, it will sell for N860 per litre in Lagos, N870 per litre in the South-West, N880 per litre in the North, and N890 per litre in the South-South and South-East, respectively.

“The same product will also be available at the following prices in AP (Ardova Petroleum) and Heyden stations: N865 per litre in Lagos, N875 per litre in the South-West, N885 per litre in the North, and N895 per litre in the South-South and South-East”, the Dangote Group said in a statement on Wednesday.

Media Talk Africa reports that prior to the latest price reduction the retail price of Dangote petrol stood at N945 per litre in MRS filling stations in Abuja.

Meanwhile, petrol retail has remained at N965 per litre in Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited filling stations. Other fillings stations dispense fuel between N970 to N1,000 per litre.
