Garnacho will apologise by taking Man Utd teammates to dinner – Amorim

Manchester United boss, Ruben Amorim, has revealed that winger Alejandro Garnacho will take his teammates out for dinner as an apology for his reaction to being substituted in their 3-2 Premier League win against Ipswich Town in midweek.

Amorim opted to substitute the Argentina international after Patrick Dorgu’s sending-off shortly before half-time on Wednesday.

Garnacho then headed straight down the touchline after being replaced by defender Noussair Mazraoui.

Amorim said after the win at Old Trafford that he would speak to Garnacho.

Speaking on the matter at his pre-match press conference ahead of Manchester United’s FA Cup clash with Fulham on Sunday, Amorim said: “He [Garnacho] came to me. It was funny because the next day he came to my office.

“I did some investigations, and he went to the dressing room, he changed his clothes because he was wet.

“But I told them that at Manchester United, everything is important, and perception at a big club is really important, so he is going to pay for a dinner for the whole team, and that is it.”

Garnacho will now hope to start for Manchester United when they face Fulham at Old Trafford this weekend.
