Rivers United technical adviser, Finidi George has described his team’s 1-0 win over Katsina United as difficult.
Friday Ubong scored the only goal in the encounter played at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt on Friday.
Finidi expressed satisfaction with the maximum points secured by his side.
“It was a difficult game because we had it going in the first-half before the rain disturbed and we had to continue with the match on Friday,” Finidi told the club’s media.
“It was a different ball game because they wanted to get a goal and we also are pushing to score so that we can solidify our place in the second spot.
“We have to hold on to the lead, it is an odd points even if we wanted another goal to give us an edge.”
Rivers United moved to second place on the league table following the win.
