‘You Can Mentor Many Youths,’ Tinubu Receives Super Bowl Winner Ojomo

President Bola Tinubu has received the Nigerian-born American football player, Moro Ojomo, at the State House in Abuja.

Hosting the 23-year-old American football player, Tinubu affirmed that the athlete’s Super Bowl moment and display of the Nigerian flag rekindled national pride.

The President praised the athlete’s perseverance and emphasised his administration’s readiness to collaborate with diaspora talents to accelerate human capital development, especially in sports.

“With the kind of focus that you have, you can mentor many youths and develop our cutlture” Tinubu told Ojomo during a meeting at the State House, Abuja.

Ojomo visited Tinubu alongside Ololade, his father; Bimbo, his mother and Modele, his sister.

The American football player arrived in Nigeria on Wednesday. He was born in Lagos before the family relocated to the US when he was seven.

He recently secured his first Super Bowl victory with the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.

The Eagles triumphed over the Kansas City Chiefs with a decisive 40-22 scoreline on February 9, 2025, in New Orleans.
