NPFL: Rivers United hold Shooting Stars in Ibadan

Rivers United maintained second position in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, after holding Shooting Stars to a 0-0 draw in Ibadan on Monday night.

Finidi George’s side put up a resolute display to prevent the hosts from scoring.

The Port Harcourt club have now amassed 43 points from 27 games, while Shooting Stars remain in third position with the same points.

Former champions Akwa United defeated Katsina United 1-0 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, with Uche Sabastine scoring the winning goal in the 20th minute.

In Maiduguri, El-Kanemi Warriors edged past Lobi Stars 1-0, with Jacob Jonathan netting the decisive goal in the 52nd minute.
