2026 WCQ: Rwanda coach, Amrouche talks tough ahead Super Eagles showdown

Rwanda head coach, Adel Amrouche is determined to do something special with the Amavubi.

The Algerian was appointed Amavubi head coach on Sunday.

The East Africans will host Nigeria in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matchday five encounter at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali on Friday, March 21.

Rwanda currently occupy first position in Group C with seven points from four matches.

Amrouche is upbeat his new team can secure a place at the World Cup.

“We should believe we can do something special,” the 56-year-old declared after he began work as new coach of the Amavubi.

“I will do all my best to achieve, but I alone do not have the magic wand, together we will make Rwanda to be the best in Africa.”
