Vinicius Jr opens up about his future at Real Madrid

Real Madrid superstar, Vinicius Jr has opened up about his future amid speculation about an exit from the Spanish capital city club.

The forward has been a subject of speculation with clubs from Saudi Arabia said to be ready to beeak the bank for his signature.

The winger would reportedly earn upwards of €200 million per annum on a five-year contract.

The Brazil international’s representatives have already been approached by Saudi officials, as they test the waters back in December.

The Sun reports that Saudi Arabia was prepared to pay the Brazilian’s release clause of approximately €1 billion.

Vinicius Jr’s contract expires in 2027 but the Saudi interest pushed Real Madrid to the negotiation table to offer him a contract extension.

Vinicius Jr turned down the offer from Real Madrid, further fueling the rumors about a Saudi move.

Vinicius has now responded to these rumors about his future with a bold message.

He spoke to the press ahead of Real Madrid’s UEFA Champions League 2-1 win against neighbours Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.

“I am very calm because I have a contract until 2027 and hopefully I can renew it as soon as possible because I am happy here. All the people love me and want me very much. I couldn’t be in a better place than here,” he said.

Further discussing the matter, the winger added, “I’m here to continue making history, to pay for everything that the president and the club have given me.”
