NPFL: Rangers congratulates Onyebuchi on maiden Super Eagles invitation

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, Rangers have congratulated their defender, Ifeanyi Onyebuchi on his Super Eagles call-up.

Onyebuchi was listed in the Super Eagles 39-man provisional squad by head coach, Eric Chelle for this month’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

The former Plateau United defender alongside Kano Pillars Ahmed Musa, Remo Stars Kayode Bankole and Niger Tornados Papa Daniel Mustapha are the only NPFL players in the team.

Rangers believed that Onyebuchi is ready to shine at the big stage.

“From thrilling the NPFL with Rangers International to earning a Super Eagles call-up, BUCHI is set to shine on the big stage. Congratulations, champ,” Rangers wrote on X.

Media Talk Africa recalls that Onyebuchi was instrumental in the Flying Antelopes NPFL trimph last season.
