Remo Stars fell 2-1 to Bendel Insurance at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.

Meyinwa Oritseweyinmi bagged a brace for Bendel Insurance, while Arinze Anakwe scored Remo Stars’ only goal of the game.

Remo Stars have 54 points from 28 games, while Rivers United are on 46 points.

In the day’s other fixture, Ikorodu City recorded a 1-0 away win over Lobi Stars.

Shola Adelani grabbed the winning goal nine minutes from time.

Ikorodu City moved to third position in the table following the win.
