NPFL: Finidi reacts to Rivers United’s victory against Niger Tornadoes

Rivers United technical adviser, Finidi George, believed that the difficult weather in Port Harcourt affected his team despite their 1-0 win over Niger Tornadoes.

Finidi stated that playing at 3 pm is not the easiest but encouraged his players to brace themselves for more challenges in the league.

He, however, expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the game.

“I think the weather made things difficult for us,” Finidi told Rivers United’s media.

“Every game going forward will be like this. We are going away, and it will be a battle. We will fight and also expect games like this.

“The Niger Tornadoes we played in the reverse fixture are a different team with their tactics. If they had picked a point here, it would have been good, but we thank God the goal came. We just have to accept the three points.”
