NPFL: Enyimba extend unbeaten run, Akwa United hold Rangers

Enyimba defeated El-Kanemi Warriors 1-0 in Aba on Sunday, extending their unbeaten run to three games in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

Powerful striker Joseph Atule scored the winning goal for the Aba giants in the 29th minute.

Enyimba moved up to eighth place on the table with 41 points from 28 matches.

Holders Rangers were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Akwa United at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.

Osoba Kabir put Akwa United ahead in the 24th minute, while Isaac Saviour equalised for the hosts three minutes after the break.

Former champions Kano Pillars suffered a 2-0 defeat against Kwara United in Ilorin.

Wasiu Alalade and Wasiu Jimoh were on target for Kwara United.
