Gov Bala Mohammed appoints new MD for Bauchi Radio

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has appointed Umar Mohammed Shira as the new Managing Director of Bauchi Radio Corporation, BRC.

In a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, the governor expressed confidence in Shira’s leadership capabilities, citing his extensive experience and dedication to the media and communications sector.

Describing him as a seasoned professional with a strong track record in media management and broadcasting, Governor Bala Mohammed emphasised that Shira is well-positioned to enhance BRC’s efficiency, professionalism, and public service delivery.

The governor urged BRC staff and stakeholders to support the new managing director in fulfilling his mandate of strengthening the corporation’s role as a credible source of information, education, and entertainment for the people of Bauchi State and beyond.

Shira’s appointment takes immediate effect.
