Champions League: Arne Slot names ‘most complete team’ Liverpool has played

Liverpool manager, Arne Slot, has named Paris Saint-Germain as the most complete team they have faced this season.

Slot has also warned his players that they will need to put in their best performance of the campaign, if they are to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The Reds pulled off a 1-0 win in the first leg of their last-16 tie at PSG, despite the Ligue 1 champions dominating most of the game.

After the victory in Paris, Slot admitted his team were “very lucky”.

The Dutchman has now called on his players to up their game in the second leg.

“I think [Liverpool will need to give the best performance of the season] because this is the most complete team we’ve faced so far,” Slot told a news conference on Monday.

“Of course, we’ve faced Arsenal and Manchester City. It’s not that there are big margins, but the intensity [PSG] played at combined with the quality they have — let’s be honest, we are talking about the richest club — so they have so much quality and a great manager because he brings the best out of every player.”
