Popular South Korean musician, Wheesung, has been found dead in his apartment, his management announced on Tuesday.
The singer’s management agency, Tajoy Entertainment, stated: “Artist Wheesung has left us. Our staff and colleagues are in deep sorrow.”
Wheesung was found unconscious at 6:29 pm on Monday by emergency responders after his mother made a call for help.
Reacting to the incident, police told local media that “a significant amount of time” had elapsed since his death, and an autopsy had been requested.
The 43-year-old was scheduled to perform in the southeastern city of Daegu this coming Saturday alongside singer KCM.
In his final social media post announcing the upcoming concert, Wheesung wrote: “Weight loss completed. See you on March 15.”
