Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has approved the appointment of Hon. Muzammil Muhammad Idris as the Executive Secretary of the Zamfara State Electricity Agency (ZEA) and Dr. Jabir Haruna Abdulkareem as the Executive Secretary of the Zamfara Geographic Information System (ZAGIS).

The Secretary to the State Government, Malam Abubakar Mohammad Nakwada, conveyed the governor’s approval, stating that the appointments take immediate effect.

Hon. Muzammil Muhammad Idris will lead ZEA, a newly established agency tasked with managing Zamfara’s power policies and initiatives.

His appointment aligns with the new Electricity Law, which allows states, companies, and individuals to generate, transmit, and distribute electricity independently.

Dr. Jabir Haruna Abdulkareem will head ZAGIS, an agency responsible for digitizing land administration in Zamfara State.

Governor Lawal expressed confidence in the capabilities of the appointees, urging them to work with dedication, integrity, and innovation to reposition their agencies in line with his administration’s rescue agenda.
