Sergio Ramos receives 30th red card of his career as Monterrey win

Sergio Ramos was shown a red card in the final minutes of Monterrey’s victory over Pumas UNAM on Sunday.

This is his first sending-off since moving to Liga MX.

Ramos, who is renowned for his aggressive style, was involved in numerous physical battles during the game.

Monterrey were leading 3-1 in the 92nd minute when he tackled Guillermo Martínez.

The Spaniard then kicked Martínez as the ball rolled out of play.

It is the 30th red card of Ramos’ career. He was dismissed 26 times for Madrid, twice for Paris Saint-Germain, and once for Sevilla.

Interestingly, he was never sent off for Spain.

Ramos has scored three goals in four games since joining Monterrey last month.
