NPFL: Sunshine Stars, Plateau United share spoils in Ikenne

Sunshine Stars and Plateau United battled to a thrilling 2-2 draw in their Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, matchday 29 encounter in Ikenne on Monday.

Plateau United stunned the home fans with Victor Temitope handing them the lead after eight minutes.

Sunshine Stars equalised 10 minutes later through Stephen Chukwude.

The visitors regained the lead on the hour mark courtesy of Sabbath Mancha’s superb strike.

Anthony Nwadioha scored an own goal in the 67th minute to ensure Sunshine Stars earned a share of the spoils.

Sunshine Stars, who are now unbeaten in their last three league games, remain in 18th position with 33 points from 29 games.

Plateau United also maintained 15th position with 35 points from the same number of matches.
