I’m here with my people – Yobo celebrates with Super Eagles players [VIDEO]

Former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo, on Friday celebrated with Eric Chelle’s side following their 2-0 victory over Rwanda in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Media Talk Africa reports that Nigeria defeated Rwanda thanks to a brace from Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen put the Super Eagles in front just 11 minutes into the encounter. The Galatasaray attacker then doubled Nigeria’s lead before half-time.

The result means the Super Eagles are now in fourth position in Group C, behind South Africa, Benin Republic, and Rwanda.

Nigeria will now face Zimbabwe on Tuesday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

After the match at the Amahoro Stadium, Super Eagles defender Ola Aina recorded a dressing room video as he walked up to Yobo.

The Nottingham Forest star called Yobo “My Number 2 Legendary.”

Yobo, a former Everton defender, responded to Aina, saying: “Well done. I’m here with my people.”
