2026 WCQ: Super Eagles must stay focused for Zimbabwe – Onazi

Former international Ogenyi Onazi has urged the Super Eagles to remain focused in their quest to secure a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Super Eagles revived their hopes of securing a place at the mundial with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Rwanda in Kigali on Friday.

Onazi praised the players and declared that the World Cup ticket is achievable with such spirit.

“I want to first say a big congratulations to the Super Eagles because they played a really decent game, this is the kind of attitude and concentration we need moving forward,” he told SCORENigeria.

“I just want them to use the same concentration and focus on the goal which is the World Cup ticket.

“After this victory, my hopes are high that we can get it done for sure. I know all the boys don’t want to miss the World Cup, so the dream is coming alive.”

Eric Chelle’s side will face the Warriors of Zimbabwe in their next game on Tuesday.
