U-20 AFCON: Flying Eagles to play group games in Korhogo

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will play all their group stage matches at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in city of Korhogo.

Aliyu Zubairu’s side will begin their campaign against Young Pharaohs of Egypt at the 20,000-capacity Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium, Korhogo on Wednesday, April 30.

The Group B encounter will kick-off at 6pm local time (6pm Nigeria time).

Nigeria will be up against Morocco in their second group game at the same venue on Saturday, May 3, starting from 8pm local time (9pm Nigeria time).

The Flying Eagles will then wrap up their Group B campaign against the Amajita of South Africa, also in Korhogo on Tuesday, May 6, starting from 5pm local time (6pm Nigeria time).

They are currently camping in Katsina, courtesy of the State Government, in the first phase of their final preparations for the continental championship.

Cote d’Ivoire will host the biennial competition from April 26 to May 18.

The four semi-finalists will qualify for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile later in the year.
