2026 WCQ: Super Eagles want maximum points against Zimbabwe – Troost-Ekong

Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong has said the team will go all out for maximum points in Tuesday’s clash with Zimbabwe.

The Super Eagles revived their chances of securing a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a 2-0 win over Rwanda in Kigali last week Friday.

Troost-Ekong said it is important for Eric Chelle’s side to build on the win over the Amavubi.

“We are looking forward to a win. The three points are important to us. At this stage, we cannot afford to drop any more points,” Troost-Ekong told thenff.com.

“Our aim is to take it one match at a time, collect three points here and there and hope fervently that these will be enough to get us the ticket.”

The game will kick-off at 5pm Nigeria time.
