Zamfara PDP mourns killing of 10 Community Protection Guards by bandits

The Zamfara State chapter of the Working Committee, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has expressed its deepest concern and grief over the killing of ten members of the State’s Community Protection Guards, CPG.

The party being led by Dr Jamil Jibo Magayaki said the guards were brutally killed by bandits in Anka Local Government area of the State.

According to a statement issued by the State publicity secretary of the party, Haliru Andi the sad news of the killings of members of the CPG by bandits on Saturday is worrisome and cannot be tolerated, assuring that the killings must stop.

The statement added that while condemning the unjustified killings, the party’s leadership called on the Federal Government to redouble its efforts in the ongoing fight against bandits throughout the Northwest zone”

“We also pray Allah to grant quick recovery to the others who were injured during the attack. Similarly, we pray Allah to have mercy on the souls of those who lost their lives and give their families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”, he added.

“The PDP State Working Committee, SWC also extends its condolences to the government and people of Zamfara State, the CPG’s Agency, and the Anka emirate council. We pray Allah to bring an end to banditry throughout the state and the entire northwest”
