Lawal Abayomi’s 64th-minute strike separated both teams on the night.

At the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, Sunshine Stars and Heartland played out a 0-0 draw.

Heartland are now winless in their last eight league outings.

Former champions Kano Pillars and Bendel Insurance also battled to a goalless draw at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofarmata.
