Zamfara APC: Tukur Umar Danfulani still on suspension – Jaji’s faction

The cracks within the walls of the Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have taken another dimension as a faction led by federal lawmaker Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji has reaffirmed the suspension of Tukur Umar Danfulani as the state party chairman.

The secretary of the faction, Mansur Aminu Khalifa, in a statement reacting to a recent communique from the State Working Committee, SWC, of the party, stated that Umar Danfulani remains under suspension.

Khalifa, however, described the communique issued by former APC Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau, as “laughable,” likening it to “a wounded lion on the verge of ending in misery.”

“Danfulani is on suspension, and we do not recognize his leadership or his entire structure. The APC supporters in Zamfara have shown them the appropriate political path by suspending their membership. By implication, a party member whose membership is withdrawn is logically out of the circle.”

He reiterated that Danfulani’s suspension renders all his actions null and void, adding that his loyalty is solely to his “paymasters for monetary gain.”

Khalifa also dismissed claims that the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, donated N500 million to APC supporters in Zamfara.

“It is a political gimmick to believe that a minister who could not even hand over a N50 million donation from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu can claim to have donated N500 million to party supporters.”

He alleged that former APC Welfare Secretary, Bashir Ataka, had exposed the deception and challenged Matawalle’s faction to provide verifiable data on how the money was shared and who the beneficiaries were.

Khalifa also accused the Minister of State for Defence, Hon. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, of withholding President Tinubu’s N50 million donation meant for victims of banditry and fire incidents in Zamfara.
