Premier League confirms two different summer transfer windows for 2025

The Premier League has announced the creation of an extra transfer window in the summer.

This decision has been made in order to accommodate FIFA’s Club World Cup.

Clubs voted to implement during a Premier League shareholders’ meeting in central London on Thursday.

The window will open on June 1 before closing again on June 10.

This is to enable Chelsea and Manchester City — the only English top-flight sides competing in FIFA’s revamped competition in the United States this summer — to sign new players ahead of the tournament.

Other Premier League clubs will also be able to sign and sell players during the registration period.

After closing on June 10, the Premier League also confirmed that it will re-open on June 16 and remain open until September 1.
