Plateau United technical adviser, Mbwas Mangut, says that the narrow win against Rangers will give his team the needed confidence to finish the season in a strong position.
Kalu Samuel’s goal gave Plateau United a 1-0 win over the title holders at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu on Thursday.
Plateau United extended their unbeaten run to four games in the league following the win.
Mangut stated that his team is gradually improving in their performance.
“The victory means a lot to us because we were really down with so many reasons, gradually we picking up the points,” Mangut stated in a post-match interview.
“The win over Rangers will make us more comfortable to finish the season strong.”
Plateau United moved up to 11th position on the league table with 41 points from 31 matches.
