Ligue 1: Moffi grateful after injury comeback

OGC Nice forward Terem Moffi is delighted to have finally returned to action after his lengthy injury layoff.

The Nigeria international was sidelined for around eight months after sustaining a cruciate ligament injury in training during pre-season.

The 25-year-old replaced Baptiste Santamaria in the 82nd minute of Nice’s 2-1 defeat to Monaco on Saturday night.

“Thank you, God,” he wrote on X.

Moffi will aim to get more minutes as he bids to regain full fitness when Nice host Nantes in their next league match on Friday.

Nice are battling to secure a place in the UEFA Champions League.
