NNL: Sylvanus Okpala appointed Edel FC head coach

Former Super Eagles forward Sylvanus Okpala has been appointed as the new head coach of Nigeria National League, NNL, side Edel FC.

Okpala replaces former Niger Tornadoes coach Hamza Abara, who was appointed in February.

He is expected to guide the Anambra-based club out of the relegation zone.

Edel FC currently occupies 10th position in Group A with five points from 10 games.

They will lock horns with Igbajo United in the opening fixture of the second stanza.

The second stanza of the 2024/25 NNL season will commence next month.
