‘We have to assess’ – Nottingham Forest coach speaks on Aina’s injury

Nottingham Forest manager, Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed Ola Aina will undergo a scan to ascertain the severity of his injury.

Aina was forced off during Nottingham Forest’s 1-0 win over Manchester United at the City Ground on Tuesday night.

The defender required treatment on the pitch in the first half for what appeared to be a calf problem.

The Nigerian, who was replaced by Alex Moreno, is now set for a spell on the sidelines after leaving the stadium on crutches.

“We have to assess. It is always a concern when a player gets injured by himself,” Nuno said after the game.

“He is going to have a scan and we will see how it is. We’re not quite sure what it is, only the scan will say exactly.”

Aina has scored twice in 30 league appearances for the Tricky Trees this season.
