‘What does he think of Turkey’ – Galatasaray’s vice-president demands sanctions on Mourinho

Galatasaray’s vice-president, Metin Ozturk, has called for sanctions against Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho after he attacked his Galatasaray counterpart, Okan Buruk, on Wednesday night.

Recall that Mourinho was seen pinching Buruk’s nose, causing the Galatasaray coach to collapse onto the pitch.

The Portuguese manager was visibly upset as his team lost 2-1 to Galatasaray at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium in the quarter-finals of the Turkish Cup.

Speaking on the incident, Ozturk was quoted by The Guardian as saying after the game:

“Mourinho first verbally and then physically attacked [Buruk] … Where else in the world can he do this? What does he think of Turkey?

“I believe that Fenerbahce’s management will impose the necessary sanction before the federation does,” Ozturk added.

Recall that a brace from Victor Osimhen secured Galatasaray’s victory against Fenerbahce, while Sebastian Szymanski scored the lone goal for the hosts during the encounter.
