Turkey: It wasn’t nice – Galatasaray coach, Buruk reacts after Mourinho attacked him

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has criticized his Fenerbahçe counterpart, José Mourinho, after the Portuguese coach attacked him on Wednesday night.

Mourinho pinched Buruk’s nose, causing the Galatasaray manager to collapse onto the pitch.

The former Real Madrid and Chelsea manager was undoubtedly upset as his team lost 2-1 to Galatasaray at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium in the quarter-finals of the Turkish Cup.

Two goals from Victor Osimhen gave the visitors the win against Mourinho’s side.

Speaking on the incident after the game, Buruk said in his post-match interview that what Mourinho did to him was not nice.

“There was nothing between me and Mourinho,” Buruk said.

“He pinched my nose from behind. There was a slight scratch. Of course, it wasn’t a very nice or elegant thing to do.

“We expect managers to behave more appropriately in such situations. I won’t exaggerate this issue, but it wasn’t a classy move.”
