President Federation Cup: Rangers coach talks up ‘tough win’ over Heartland

Rangers assistant coach, Ekeh Ekenedilichukwu, has admitted that the President Federation Cup Round of 32 clash against Oriental neighbors Heartland was tough.

The Flying Antelopes defeated Heartland 5-3 on penalties in a keenly contested match at the Awka Township Stadium on Wednesday.

The game ended 1-1 in regulation time.

Ekenedilichukwu declared that the team’s target is to win the 2025 President Federation Cup title.

He also commended his players for their determination in securing the win.

“It was a tough match as expected, but we gave our best to emerge victorious over our neighbors, Heartland,” Ekenedilichukwu stated.

“We keep working on the team as our target remains going as far as winning the trophy for the seventh time.”

Media Talk Africa recalls that Rangers finished as runners-up in 2023.

Rangers will square up against Bendel Insurance in the Round of 16.
