War: No signals from Europe for Ukraine peace talks – Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin has not received any signal from European nations that they want to engage in talks on ending the war in Ukraine

This was disclosed by Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, in Moscow on Friday.

“So far there have been no signals, ”Peskov said as quoted by NAN.

Peskov was referring in particular to statements made by the Finnish President, Alexander Stubb, who suggested that one or two countries should negotiate with Moscow on behalf of the European nations supporting Ukraine.

Recall that Stubb had suggested that most likely, France or the United Kingdom should represent Europe.

Russia and the United States have so far bypassed European countries in negotiations over a possible end to the war in Ukraine.

Neither European countries nor Ukraine itself was invited to the talks.
