Mourinho handed 3-game ban for attacking Galatasaray manager

Fenerbache manager, Jose Mourinho, has received a three-match ban for pinching the nose of Galatasaray coach, Okan Buruk.

The incident happened after Mourinho’s men lost in the Super Cup to their rivals.

The former Chelsea and Manchester United boss walked up behind Buruk and grabbed his nose, sending the head coach to the floor.

Goal now reports that Mourinho has been slapped with a three-match suspension.

It is believed the Turkish Football Federation explored a potential five to 10 match ban for Mourinho, but opted to reduce his punishment after accepting that he was initially provoked by Buruk at full-time.

This is the second time in 2025 that Mourinho is facing a touchline ban, after being hit with four matches in February for making racist comments about the Galatasaray bench.
