US: Musk kicks against ‘Hands Off’ protests, slams organizers

Tech billionaire Elon Musk broke his silence Sunday on the massive “Hands Off!” protests which began on Saturday.

Musk dismissed the protests held across the United States on Sunday, accusing demonstrators of being manipulated by unseen political operatives who he described as ‘puppet masters’.

“The problem is the puppet masters, not the puppets, as the latter have no idea why they are even there,” Musk posted on X, in his first public comment since hundreds of thousands took part in coordinated rallies targeting both Musk and US President Donald Trump.

He added in another tweet criticizing a protester, “He had to read the paper he was given to understand the sign he was holding.”

Recall that the protests unfolded in all 50 states and major cities, including Washington DC and San Francisco.

The protests were billed by organizers as a stand against government overreach and billionaire influence on democracy.

Both Musk and Trump were directly named in chants and signs throughout the day.
