Rivers United technical adviser, Finidi George, has said his team’s 1-0 victory over league leaders Remo Stars is well-deserved.
The Port Harcourt club reduced the gap between them and the league leaders to five points following the win.
Finidi admitted that the encounter was difficult.
“It was a difficult game considering the opposition, Remo Stars,” Finidi stated in a post-match interview.
“I think they played differently in the game. We had two chances which we didn’t take in the first half, but overall, I think we deserved to win the game.”
